My effort:


When I brought him back from the land where rubies and topazes grew on trees, I feared that he might scorn the orchard with our farm. Growing mere apples and peaches.
We arrived when the peaches were ripe. He looked without much interest until I picked two, and started to eat mine. He was astounded when he realized they were food, and just grew on trees.
