vignette challenge

This week's prompt is:
garden

Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.

My effort:
Felix went into the garden at dawn. It is surprising that this surprised nobody, and caused nobody to watch him. If so, they would have seen him picking the lilies and bringing them to the statue of the winged horse.
So he got away, and we need a new statue.
