super from space

Can you really have a superhero story where all the super-powered are aliens from outer space?

Not if they all come from the same planet and have (or acquire) the same power.  That's science fiction, pure and simple, even if the power is fantasy-like.

But suppose they come from many planets, and have different powers. . . arriving on earth for whatever common reason or somehow for different ones. . . . can that qualify as a metaorigin?  Perhaps if the powers get more emphasis than the origin. . .

I ponder philosophically,.  And my muse, fortunately, ignores it, preferring an all-human cast.
