A garrulous old woman is going to compare the practice to that of porcelain tea cups. I think, though I'm not certain, that there will be teacups shaped like flowers in porcelain. I don't know whether she's going to complain that the rich are dropping the good old ways, or whether the poor are aping their betters -- or even whether she's complaining of their dropping the simplicity of conjured tea cups, or adopting the luxury of conjuration instead of reliable old crockery.
Or even if she's consistent. She's rather garrulous, and needs a lot to complain about. On the other hand, her purpose here is half world-building, so it does matter.
I think someone's going to ask her if she expects them to be hit by a disenchantment, which will prove critical ahead.
