When Truth is Stranger than Fiction

I was in the audience for this one.

The immense importance of not relying on "But it really happened" to be convincing.

Though when I brought up the matter of those who know everything and that you are wrong, they had stories:  of people who can't believe family dynamics, those who can't believe the stories of child soldiers, and those who ask whether hedgehogs really do act like that.
