a pair of beginnings

Two webcomics that I have run across that have good beginnings -- as they are fairly new, I can't judge further.

Bird Boy.  When a boy sets out to hunt on his own because the hunters, despite their promise, put off teaching him until next season, he stumbles from snow to a summer forest.  It starts here.

Derelict.  A post-apocalyptic flooded world, and a scavenger trying to live in it.  Starts here.
