The third Calvin and Hobbes collection.
The title adventure is the time he goes to secede from the family. It could have ended very badly; he and Hobbes quarrel. It also has the two of them taking a flying carpet to the city; they want to wave to his dad, but he doesn't look up. And the time Hobbes tied Calvin to the chair -- that time, his father saw him tied up, which Calvin couldn't have done alone.
Spaceman Spiff also reappears, and Calvin's hatred for, and mischief in, the bath. (Hiding in the bathtub is indeed a good place.) His gallant attempts to persuade his father to care about his polls. The one time appearance of his Uncle Max.
