Sidekicks by Dan Santat

A graphic novel about the pets of a superhero.

It starts with a fight going awry because of Captain Amazing's peanut allergy, and he decides to take on a sidekick -- not a pet, not after last time.

His three pets -- his dog Roscoe, his hamster Fluffy, and the new kid on the block, the chameleon Slinky -- are all set to take the position in disguise.  And there's complications from Manny, the old sidekick/cat, who ran away after he retired, for various reason.  There's a new superhero in town, and a villain released from prison, and the training process, dealing with a hippo that has to be run off, and much more.
