A collection of Sir Pterry's not-quite-juvenilia. He wrote 'em on the job, for the newspaper he worked for. A collection of whimsical little stories, with a few tweaks -- such as some footnotes, which are quite funny.
Anyone familiar with his later works will recognize stuff. Such as the importance of pointy hats to wizards. And it includes not only a collection of charming doodle-like illustrations, it has fun and games with fonts, both the fonts themselves and their sizes.
All are more or less earth-based, and some don't even have fantastic elements; only two are in the same setting. But all are in the same mood of whimsey.
