The Martian Chronicles

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

A collection of short-stories, eerie and beautiful.  Some related to each other only in that they could be slotted into Martian history.

We have the first Earth rockets to Mars, interacting with the native Martians in a way deeply complicated by the Martians' telepathy and suspectibility to human influence through it.  And the later presence of man on Mars, with the first hotdog stand on Mars, with various settlements, with a war on Earth complicating all, with censors coming to Mars.

Loosely connect but lovely in the telling.
