vignette

This week's prompt is:

Trashy
Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.

My venture:

Exactly how many stores of trashy junk did the station need? thought Tristan. He had never been impressed before, but walking endlessly in search of a place that sold hardware, or food, or even clothes, but any more of these endless gewgaws and he might scream. Too many stupid toys.
