Cheeps and twitters and caws and even coos were endless din. She tried to pull a pillow over her head. She had liked the birds, so utterly indifferent to the fae land, stalwartly sparrows and crows and mourning doves.
Today, she hated them.
Coo, coo, coo, went a mourning dove.
