Was philosophically pondering holiday tales.

I have one Christmas tale on the back burner. "Master of Misrule." Doesn't that just make you think Christmas? (Well, yeah, only if you are familiar with Renaissance Christmas customs.)

And as for other stories, well, the ones with parents as main characters might, some of them, pass for Mother's Day or Father's Day. Hmm. Only if the kid is front and center, come to think of it. And if pushed, some of the fantasy stories might qualify for Halloween. (I've got one with a ghost!)

But otherwise the holidays inspire the muse not at all.

Such is a writer's life.
