My efforts:

She had her grandmother's notebook of pressed flowers and careful notes securely in her pack. Perhaps she had misread the directions, perhaps a landmark would be too changed to let her find it, perhaps the pink stars no longer grew there, but perhaps she might even remove some living plants.

From my belt pouch I pulled out a poppet. Perhaps I should have mentioned it when they were still agog about the charm and my sight.
"What will that do, Genevieve?" said Belsante.
"Remove all doubts," I said. "It tricks an enchantment into thinking that someone has come into it."
