vignette challenge

This week's prompt is:

Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.

My efforts:

The slim green maiden, standing in her basin, said, "I hope, Aurore, that you expect us to stay late, and eat at leisure. What knights could bolt through such a feast?"
The sunrise-clad woman laughed. "Of course, Vasilisa. There is much to talk about. This will keep our strength up."

He could only thank God that he had not arrived too late.
Then he realized how all three of them studied him. He blushed at the intensity of their gazes.
One man whispered, softly, to the other, "What did you help him for, Mond? Such a god needs no help."
