vignette challenge

This week's prompt is:

Anyone can join, with a 50-word vignette in the comments. Your vignette does not have to include the prompt term.

My efforts:

"Look about with care!" caroled Queenie. "That last thing we want is to break the curse, try to come back, and discover we can't find the place. At the very least, we need to be able to describe it."
Nina smiled. "We just need to have directions." She held up her notebook. Enchanted, no doubt.
Jonnet measured her words. "Since we came in search of new magic, we need to take as many precautions as we can. Magical and mundane."

The girls must have described it all. Women, curious, were gathering to gawk. Astra's mouth set as none of them came forward to help with the burden; she and Cynthia were struggling, but all the women seemed to agree with Berenice.
It was only when she got him into a bed that she wondered if she had brought him to die.

"Come in, come in," said a clerk, looking annoyed. "Indescribable, all the confusion today. But still we have to get each one of you down and described before we can go anywhere. Here, into the room."
He gestured down the hallway, pointing out the door, without leaving the front doorway himself.
